Adoption of the green economy through the UNEP model in Paraguayan companies from a management perspective, 2024

The objective of this research is to analyze the adoption of the green economy through the UNEP model in Paraguayan companies from a managerial perspective, 2024. It was based on a cross-sectional and descriptive non-experimental qualitative approach. Five in-depth interviews with businessmen of one hour each were carried out per trial in 2024. The inclusion criteria were: managers of selected companies which currently carry out green economy practices and/or actions. The instrument was composed of a guide of 10 open questions under 3 categories: Perception of acceptance of the green economy in companies; measures and actions; and benefits achieved. The most relevant results were: the adoption of sustainable practices is crucial to keep up with changes in the market and make a difference and; The factors that influence the adoption of the Green Economy (EV) are raising awareness among collaborators about the importance of practices and support from the public and private sector through alliances, tax incentives and regulatory laws that encourage investment in sustainable practices. It is concluded that it is essential that organizations continue working on innovative and collaborative solutions to overcome these obstacles and move towards a more sustainable economic model.
